Here are the 3 simple rules:
- Use the Muse card as inspiration, explain your interpretation and link back to Muse.
- Provide supportive comments to at least 3 of your fellow member’s submissions.
- Vote for one of your fellow member's submissions that you find inspiring.
You're free to draw your inspiration from any of the elements of Amy's card. For example, design/layout, color combination, pattern, texture, image, style, embellishment and technique.
Now here's your Monday Muse, Amy Kolling!
We can't wait to see your unique take on this week's card!
Other considerations: This challenge is open to anyone. The only thing you need to do to become a member is make a card and submit it to one of our challenges. You're free to participate as much or as little as you want. We'll be pulling some of our future designers and guest designers from our club members. So the only way to show your interest in becoming a designer is to play along. It's not mandatory to become a designer or guest designer if you were to be invited in the future. One of our design team members will offer a card for you to interpret each Monday at 9:00 a.m. EST. You can combine with other challenges. We're also encouraging players to use what they have in their stash to make their Muse cards. No need to purchase anything new or use a specific supply. We ask that everyone honor the 3 simple rules. If you don't follow the rules you may be disqualified from a Featured Member win or have your submission removed from the InLinkz. Last but not least, please consider turning off your word verification. Thank you.
We have a new Muse Facebook page so you can get important updates or special announcements in between challenges. Please stop by, say hi and LIKE us while you're there!
The InLinkz will close and voting will begin at 12 noon EST on Saturday, January 26. Please don't forget to come back and vote for one of your fellow member's submissions. The results of voting will be announced at 8:59 a.m. EST and our new challenge will begin at 9:00 a.m. EST on Monday, January 28. We'll have one more surprise Guest Designer join us before our Design Team will begin sharing their cards.
If you don't have a blog feel free to use a Flickr Gallery or other online gallery for your Muse cards. Just copy the URL location of your card in your gallery and add it to the Inlinkz.
To play along add your cards to the InLinkz below.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Amy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card!! Now, I'm gonna go play! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such an elegant card Amy -- just beautiful!
ReplyDeletegorgeous card to start this fun challenge!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card and very fun challenge.
ReplyDeleteI love the "debossing" and the gorgeous colour palette! I cannot wait to play, thank you for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLove that this challenge does not require the use of any particular stash. Amy's card is beautiful. Definitely want to participate so will have to think about how this has inspired me.
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautiful card for inspiration! I am excited to get started! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours, paper and design. Hoping I can find the time to participate. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card. I love this layout and the panels instead of matting - very trendy.
ReplyDeleteFABulous inspiration card :)
ReplyDeleteGreat inspiration card, I can't wait to give this challenge a try!
ReplyDeleteGreat inspiration card and fab challenge blog
ReplyDeleteThis really sounds like fun! I cant' wait to play along!! Is the idea to Case the card, if you happen to own the same goodies, or simply to use it as inspiration?
ReplyDeleteJust use the Muse card as inspiration. Great question. :)
DeleteOh, I also forgot to mention that the idea is not to copy her card but to just be inspired by it to create your own.
DeleteThanks Jackie --- Glad I asked!! :)
DeleteWhat a wonderful new challenge! I love that you specifically encourage players to visit each other. I'm off to check my stash and see what I can do. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat challenge and love Amy's card.... stunning :0)
ReplyDeleteJenny x
What a lovely card, Amy. It shouldn't be too hard to find inspiration in this card.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful challenge, Jackie! I hope I didn't do too much of a "copy," which I was more inspired to do this time in a challenge. It was fun to spread the word about MUSE, so I'm fine with not being in the voting because I took your "be inspired by any or ALL" a little too literally! Oops.
ReplyDeleteThat's O.K. Darnell. It was my mistake to use the word "all" I've removed it. Thanks for spreading the word about Muse! :)
DeleteNewbie question...on Saturday, will it be explained how we vote?
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, yes the players will be able to vote as soon as the challenge closes this Saturday at 12 noon EST. You'll be able to vote by clicking on the thumbnail of your favorite card in the InLinkz line up. Fair question, even for the more experienced challenge players. :)
DeleteWhat a great challenge - just a quick question Jackie (and sorry if I've missed the answer somewhere) - are we able to combine it with other challenges, for example a colour challenge?
ReplyDeleteHi Claire, yes you are free to combine with other challenges. :)
DeleteHi Jackie,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but I don't quite understand the vote-thing! I clicked on the name of my favorite but nothing "special" happened. :) Is there something else I should do?
Where you able to vote? I think it's working now.
DeleteHi there - I'm trying to vote but when I'm clicking on the thumbnail it's just taking me to the player's blog and not registering a vote?
ReplyDeleteIt should be working now. Everyone only gets 1 vote. Please let me know if you're able to vote. Thanks. :)
DeleteTo vote you click underneath the picture :) Shame i cant vote for more than one some stunners there.
ReplyDeleteKate x
Yup it's working now! I love this idea - such a great concept Jackie!! And I'm with Kate - there were so many great cards it was hard to choose just one. Way to go gals!
ReplyDeleteThanks Erin! So glad it's working now.
DeleteI was able to vote now! Thanks for this really fun challenge!
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome Nonni! It is fun to see how everyone can vote!
DeleteWhat a fun challenge. I love that we get to vote on our favorite..great idea :)
ReplyDeleteLOL I definitely took the original "all" on board - but I loved Amy's card so much it was difficult not to! Note to self, next time less CASE, more MUSE ;)
ReplyDeleteNo worries Lyndal. It was my typo that caused a little confusion. I think that those that went more literal still had their own style and take come though in their cards. It's super fun to see everyone's interpretation. :)
DeletePassed my vote - nothing came up to say it's worked but I'm assuming it's gone through!
ReplyDeleteHi Claire, The votes are going through just privately.
DeleteI am sorry that I didn't get a chance to play along with this first 'Muse' challenge ... definitely won't miss the next one tho!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing you in the next one Ange! :)
DeleteLove this new concept. Can't wait for the next challenge. So glad I found you!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found us too!!! Our next challenge will begin tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. EST. Hope you'll join us!
DeleteI just voted! LOVE LOVE this new idea for your blog!
ReplyDeleteSo excited to find another "open" challenge blog! All of the submissions are lovely. I hope to play along in the future.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I understand the voting...I clicked on the link under the cards when I was going out to comment, but does that mean I voted? LOVE all the cards, though - thanks for the fab challenge!
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy, voting closed at 12 noon yesterday. Next week you'll have another chance to vote. Check the dates on the Challenge #2 post. Thanks. :)
DeleteWOW!! Just catching up on some commenting (after an unplanned hiatus) - fantastic entries! Sort of glad I missed the voting deadline, I would be hard pushed to pick one :oP
